Website privacy
Clear handling of the context you share.
This notice explains the first-party information Dark Mode Security receives through this website and how it is used. It does not cover information governed by a separate client agreement.
Effective: August 16, 202601
Information received
If you submit the inquiry form, we receive the name, work email, company, role, stated security priority, timeline, and short context you provide. If you contact us by email, we receive your address and the content of that message.
The form also sends non-authoritative attribution context: the initial and current UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term values available during the browser session, plus the referring page, first landing path, and a random session identifier. Campaign and referrer values are user-controlled hints and are not treated as verified identity or business facts.
02
How information is used
We use inquiry information to review the request, determine whether Dark Mode Security may be a fit, prepare for and respond to the conversation, maintain appropriate business records, and protect the website and inquiry workflow from misuse.
Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, communications, and business operations, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards. We do not claim that submitting this form creates a client relationship.
03
First-party site measurement
The site may record a limited event name, page path, event time, random browser-session identifier, CTA identifier and location, optional selected priority, and the campaign and referrer context described above. Public event names include landing and engaged views, CTA impressions and clicks, contact initiation, and form start and submit events.
When an inquiry is accepted, the server records a lead-created event. Authorized internal status changes may record contacted, qualified, disqualified, opportunity, won, or lost events. These lifecycle events use the inquiry's source context and identifier so acquisition can be evaluated without copying the inquiry's name, email, company, role, or message into the event record.
Measurement events are designed not to include your name, email, company, role, or free-text inquiry. The site uses sessionStorage—not persistent application cookies—to retain attribution and the random session identifier for the current browser session. Browser behavior controls when sessionStorage is cleared.
04
Retention and access
Inquiry and measurement records are kept only as reasonably needed to respond, evaluate the relationship, operate and secure the service, maintain appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. We have not committed to a fixed public retention period. Retention may vary by record and those needs; records should be deleted when they are no longer reasonably needed for the purposes described here.
Internal lead-management pages are protected by ChatGPT sign-in and are intended only for authorized internal access. Public visitors do not need a ChatGPT account to view the site or send an inquiry. Sign-in is an access control for the internal tool; it is not a representation that ChatGPT verifies inquiry content.
05
Your choices and contact
You may use direct email instead of the inquiry form. You may also ask about, correct, or request deletion of inquiry information. Some information may need to be retained when reasonably required for security, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.
